is an Ohio native, whose best birthday party was her fifth, which she got to celebrate at the Euclid Beach amusement park in Ohio. She studied at the University of Massachusetts before beginning work as an author, and she now lives in Madrid, Spain, with her husband and two sons. Miranda’s sons and other bilingual children living in and around Madrid participated in special book illustration workshops to produce the art for her book ALPHABET FIESTA (Turtle Books). She has written several other picture books, including TO MARKET, TO MARKET (Harcourt), MONSTER MATH (Harcourt), and DOES A MOUSE HAVE A HOUSE? (Simon & Schuster).
