was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1962. Instead of going to the rodeo or playing football, Jonah spent most of his childhood painting pictures, playing musical instruments, and writing poems. Now, as an adult, Jonah makes his living doing these same activities. His first picture book, DIEGO, was illustrated by his mother, Jeanette Winter, and was named one of the hundred best American children’s books of the twentieth century by the Ruminator Review. Since then, Jonah has written many children’s biographies about his favorite people: artists, musicians, and baseball players. Jonah lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
